Cerebral Flatulence

So, after some time has elapsed, I am happy to report that Comic-Con 2009 went very well…

Everyone loved “The Lost Hieroglyph” demo, especially the fact that it was stop-motion animation.  Big ups to my new amigos over at StopMotionAnimation.com for much advice, counsel and goofiness!  Actually, I’ll never be able to say enough good things about the people involved with this old, rare, special craft.

I got to spend quality time with the wonderful folk from Weta, the effects house who brought us “The Lord of The Rings,” “Narnia”, “King Kong” and soon, “Avatar” and “Tin Tin”.  Richard Taylor, Greg Broadmore, Dave Tremont and Tim Launder, among others, couldn’t have been more gracious.   Just a few of the amazing, cool people I met those four crazy days in San Diego:  the Shiflett Brothers, Francisco Herrera, Dave Spurlock of Vanguard Productions and Philip Kim of the revived “Famous Monsters of Filmland.”  As a result, I’m now working for his magazine. 

Work continues at a much more modest pace on “The Lost Hieroglyph” right now, as I shoulder my new duties, but look for another, upgraded version of Episode One by the end of this year.
